I'm not getting this. Last video LL dozens of clones trotting in a circle. What is the value of this for a working breed?

Apple, when you think about it it's not different to the "working line" fraction.
In this case it's a show, it's about the best looking dogs - on the other hand it's a trial, and there it's about the best performing dogs...
In both cases the progeny is important, too...
Even in case you are a "real dog" fancier, you will be interested in any progeny - do they look like mom and dad? Do they behave like them?

In the best case you are interested in a dog, able to work, looking like a GSD, produced out of healthy parents...

Without conformation no GSD shape, without working ability no GSD character. You need both.

A good GSD does neither need to get a VA rating nor does it need to become a BSP champion- the truth is like almost always in the middle.
