So Susie you are keeping the gold mine for yourself only ?!!! Teeth Smile

So there are few REAL GSD alive today, most are crap dogs, right?  All of those REAL dogs are pretty much owned by the same group of knowledgable breeders, the breeders who are doing it all right and selecting only for the REAL working dog, right? You all know one another, right?

Yowza......what a great opportunity to start a brand new breed using only those REAL working dogs. Name them something other than a German Shepherd Dog, that way they would never again be associated with the crap GSD's - the showlines, sport dogs, companion dogs, etc.. Share the puppies with one another keeping the undeserving owners out of the loop. Use the REAL stud dogs. That way the line will remain pure and uncorrupted. Imagine how much more time would be available for breeding and selling REAL WORKING DOGS. Life will be worth living.

Good luck and I mean that sincerely.

can you have a "Mexican Stand Off'' on line? I prefer to do it in person, face to face. Let's all meet on a training field and share our love of the breed. We can witness the dogs with true value from the paper tigers. You might even meet a few new friends.

Ibrahim, there are costs with every single breed you want to own out there, fact. I will tell you that most actual working dogs, you mentioned police dogs, are not the best "pets" and I am being 100% honest here. My own dog is a pain in the butt...constantly looking for things to do, always wanting to play tug, always in your face, wanting to check everything you have or bring home, not social, but, the breed was never meant to be a "pet" either.

Indeed, like Susie said, there are dogs out there that are crazy, that have to live in a kennel, but, again, there is a difference between a companion and a pet, in many ways. My dog is my companion while I work with him, could he be a "pet" at your house if his style is not you like, NO, he could not. At the same time, I cannot stand those soft, nervy weak tempered dogs and could not live one either though. Hope this makes sense.

Ibrahim, there are some nice  showline dogs in czech, these breeders are really training and titling their dogs, but I will tell you the main problem

most buyers want pups from famous parents, not from strong parents

it is hard to sell a good dog from unknown parents

it is much easyer to sell crappy dogs from famous parents

Blitzen, Ibrahim, it´s not that difficult to understand.

IPO folks are interested in points ( a lot of prey drive, almost no "trotter" conformation ).
Show folks are interested in show ratings ( overangulations, lack of drive )
Police is/was interested in "working abilities", but doesn´t care about the breed.

No perfect result in all cases...

No Blitzen, what a great opportunity to go back to to using only working dogs to breed and own since the breed was created as a working dog. I have said this in here many times because there is ONE GSD dog breed and its made up of WORKING dogs, thats it, everything else out there, sport or show dogs can find a name and call themselves that.
