i dont think there are many pure dogs anymore in the literally sense but i look at the most recent generations (since they influence the dog the most) and if its heavy czech then i would call that a czech dog.
btw nice pedigree.

BTW, you don't consider the third generation as 'recent' ?

who designated the word pure as referring to what breed the dog is? pure can refer to whatever the person looking at the pedigree wants it to refer to. in this case its clear that they want to know what stereotypical "type" their dog is. czech,, west german, ddr, american, etc are all types. there's no need to get all technical. everyone here knows there is only one german shpeherd. you are clearly missing the question.
by your logic, i mean what the point of saying pure irish or german or american. might as well say we're all humans when describing each other right??? we're all pure human.

Czech pedigree = pedigree issued by Czech entity

'who designated the word pure as referring to what breed the dog is?'
YOU did. ^^^
'No need to get technical'? OK, do like master trainer does, and say whatever makes you happy and supports your fairytale.
One must get over the romance....they are all German Shepherd Dogs, no matter what country they are registered in and ALL the Czech dogs came from Germany originally and many other country through ever since. Those 'mixed registry' dogs are still pure in the sense of breed.
Yes, we're all human, unless one is not human. No, there is no point in use the adjective, "pure" when describing humans....except when one is a 'pure' ass.
