not sure if the dog is still alive and the owner is said to be difficult to deal with but if i was in the UK i would go straight to mannus, heard he did or planned a father/daughter mating which prolly means not registered. would love to hear if/how that went. i would have took one.
would import mannus semen if it was available and could be verified as from stated sire.
nothing to add to what others have said on the mating.

I didn't know that one great, great, great grandfather carried that much into a litter. Live and learn!

No visible proof of working ability / health / conformation in the parents/ grandparents/ some of the great grandparents generation...
Only people who know the parents personally may be able to help.
There is a reason why we tend to test our dogs, good ancestors do show a tendency, but not the ultimate truth...

Interestingly, most of the 'working' people in the UK (with notable exceptions)
tend not to use some of the events that are available. Hence many of their dogs
are not Surveyed (Brit. equivalent of Kor report); alternatively, I am unaware of any
SV/FCI 'proper' Koerbook going on, either - so dogs which could easily achieve Class 1
are simply not presented, the reasoning (I suppose ?) being that these are put on by the
Clubs for Showdogs. I really worry this attitude will make the breed's followers
in the UK split along the lines of the US (as if we don't have enough splits already!).
Since current working stock is far from being awful, in the main, in ref: to structure,
angulation, etc, this would seem to be a real pity. Certainly leaves a lot of gaps on pedigrees.
I wonder if Margaret wishes to comment on this as I know she can see it from both
angles, and some of you working PDB members, eg Ashley ?

To Fineline are you only looking for something in UK because of Quar.... reasons ?,my thoughts on the ped. are like some posts that already commented why soooo much missing info on so many dogs in peds ? Also Sire and Dam look to be on the younger side so not much will be known as far as seeing something out of proven known producers, why take the gamble unless you can test the pups completely yourself and check temperament of Parents carefully, but for all I know you can...... with all the very good choices out there of proven producers out of Germany and other parts of Europe say like Pike del Lupo Nero and others, why not better put the odds in your favor,I would guess shipping a pup out of Germany or Czech to UK would be far less than shipping one to America.
