Koots:
The choice of the Judge(s) would likely make a bigger difference. A dog that is properly trained will do his/her job irrespective of who the helper might be. Handlers and owners who might be hesitant to show a dog under the rules of the Conformation Show probably know the have a problem dog, not a problem helper. Clearly, the bitework at breed shows is not a demanding as that a working trial. Well trained dogs with proper temperaments should never have a problem at any club's Sieger Show.

I don't care if the helpers are dressed up as Barney the dinosaur, any dog that claims a SchH3 should be able to do a simple routine like the one required at sieger shows. It's embarrassing how many can't. That being said, I'll be at both shows. Whether I enter one or both will depend on how I feel about the event and the sponsoring organisation.
