That is not a question I get, and I do not sell to those that want a pet or a woosh.
TOTO
is the aim of my breeding and the breed I love and raised.
This forum is not the place to discuss training methods of the FIGHT DRIVE as most do not even know or understand . Here is a little eye sight into Standard,
FYI;;; Reinhard Lindner:
When you trained or were simply in the presence of Reinhard, you felt better for being there. He was the consummate dog trainer, friend, Schutzhund Judge and teacher.
As a trainer for the German Customs he taught many of Germany's best trainers how to make dogs do the unimaginable. He had a touch with dogs that is still talked about today.
HARD DOGS - Germany's toughest - were his "specialty". He had a way to get the job done with the strongest dogs in Germany...and then he would breed to them to his females. The pride he showed in his breeding program (vom Höllbachgrund Kennel) was unique. He bred incredibly strong dogs that were very seldom able to trained to a high level. But, Reinhard and his friends KNEW that he bred the strongest dogs in Germany - scores be-damned.

Reread the message of Reinhard. IF it is hard and tough that is the standard that our gsd came from originally and someone used Santi Flush on the lines and they got way away from what they were started for. WHO did Max start the dogs for>? German soldiers>? What can standard be other than TOTO]
You HAVE NO CLUE what Come to Jesus Meeting Means....TOTO

could you please cut and paste the section of the /any standard that reflects your view.

I don't think he/she was meaning a "come to Jesus talk" meant the dog was aggressive. I think he was referring that the dog might be a little stubborn, or more patience when training.
"The German Shepherd Dog must be even in temperament, well balanced, self assured, totally unself-conscious and, except when provoked, totally good natured. Added to that he must be attentive and easily trained. He must possess courage, combativity and toughness, so as to be a suitable companion, watch, guard, working and herding dog."
This is is what I'm after for my next female GSD. A very balanced dog. Balanced drives. Not crazy prey driven.

have to agree with poster, too much prey without courage and civil to balance it is not desirable but unfortunately it is what many sport and LE dogs are about these day
In my breedingprogram I breed dogs with good prey to dogs with much civil, patroldogtypes, the result is that I produce as much sportdogs as other kennels, but also dog for LE, Personal Protecton, SAR and even seeing eye dogs. But you wont find the podiumdogs on my pedigrees
Also we see more and more K9 units worldwide having problems with the sporty prey dogs, lack of agression and problems in detecton are often heard problems, and also reason why many switch to malis
Todays trainingsmethods are enlarging the problems as the most soft and sweet , high prey and fooddrive dogs can be shaped to great heights and points and are used in breeding a lot as people love the podiumdogs on their pedigree
noumerous times I have seen great dogs being refused for breeding or seling because of lack of fame or famous names on their pedigree
Second big problem is on/of switch, many of those high prey dogs are "on" 24/7
and also in sport they have problems with barking, guarding and out, if you visit a seminair from Yogi or Peter Scherk you will see they found a training answer for this again, disaster for breeding as these well trained dog dont reproduce their wel learned behaviour
All respect for those great trainers but they make it harder and harder to recognize what we are realy looking at on the field

anyone want to put their hand up to say they got it right in relation to the intentions of the "creator", who was not much of a breeder himself.
