Congratulations!!! Can you tell us a little bit more about what all the Utility title requires?

Seek Back 30 points
Scent Discrimination article #1 30 points
Scent Discrimination article #2 30 points
Signal Exercise 40 points
Moving Stand 30 points
Directed Jumping 40 points
Maximum total score 200 points

Seek back is the "glove" exercise. Handler and dog complete a heeling pattern and on command from the judge the handler drops the leather glove and continues the heeling pattern. At the end of the heeling pattern the judge advises the handler to "send the dog"; the dog then runs out and retrieves the glove.

Signal exercise is a heeling pattern with only hand signals to the dog (no verbal commands) it includes a standard heeling pattern, a stand, leave your dog (stay) sit, down, recall and finish.

Moving stand is handler heeling with dog and on command from judge while moving the handler commands the dog to stand and stay and leaves the dog, the judge then examines the dog and then on command the handler commands the dog for a recall and finish.

Often called the "futility" title it is a really hard one to obtain!  Points are much harder to get and obedience must be done to perfection. Judges have very sharp pencils in this level.
Congratulations on your title!

Thanks for the info.   Great Job.  For me, hand signals are the hardest (all my fault, my dogs just wait for me to make up my mind).

Yes, you do need 3 qualifying scores under at least 2 different judges to get the title.
You absolutely cannot fail an exercise and the dog must obey on the first command every time.

I think that anyone who has ever tried to title a dog to his utility, knows how hard it is to get the title.

There are 3 levels in CKC obedience: novice (CD Companion Dog), Open (CDX Companion Dog Excellent) and finally UD (Utility Dog).
When a dog has completed all three levels, he is considered an Obedience Trial Champion. (OTCh.)

Whats the goal now? Well, just another working title to prove the dog;s working ability and utility!!.

Hope this helps!

AKC Requires that a dog qualify in each level ( Nov Open and Utility) 3 times under at least 2 different judges and to be come OTCH  You must obtain a UDX first which is Qualifying in open and utility on the same day 10 X  and have so many points (can't remember how many).  You want to talk hard?  I had 2 Shepherds trained through utility but only got to the open level due to health issues they had to be reitred before they could finish.  Congrats on a job well done.
