Most skin problems are food or contact (collar, bowl) related.
Check what is in your dogs food (chicken, corn, artificial by products etc). Most dog foods contain chicken products. Find a food without chicken products (fats no further specification could be chicken fat). The second ingredient to exclude would be corn and corn products, which is also a major factor in skin reactions in dogs.
No supplement will help, if you still feed a food your dog is allergic too.
