You've got Troll twice in the first five generations, Yoschey, and Zidane, some of my favorite dogs. Do the parents have their hip scores? I, too, prefer titles, but like Ibrahim pointed out, a lot of law enforcement and military dogs don't have official titles. IMO, I prefer to see good hip scores in the first few generations of the pups that I buy, even though it's not a guarentee that the pup will have good hips. I personally like the combination of some of the dogs, but would like to know more about the dogs in the first two generations.

Line breeding on Troll vh Malinda? ....love Troll for his strength and nerve....what's your opinion of Troll in terms of missing teeth and testicles?

not to find fault at all, but i would like the pedigree better if the sire & dam lines were reversed. my opinion isn't worth a nickel, but i like that bob says he breeds for himself. if more folks bred what they want to keep instead of breeding to sell.........we'd have a hell of a lot better dogs. :)

Morning All
Keith: Really! Keith.
Mac:
I agree if all possible xrays of Hips and Elbows are good. I,ve been sending my young dog xrays to a orthopedic surgeon for evaluation. Holly will get her OFA In November BUt i,m confident there are no issue,s. If no hip evaluation or xrays are available you then have to do alot of info gathering on siblings, previous breedings of the parents and there workabality and health. One Can,t exclude a breeding choice soley because of lack of a xray As I,ve said show me the dog I,ll read about him (or her) latter.
Gustav:
From the 2 litters I,ve had both are non issues. All the boys can fire with both loaded barrels and all have proper dentation. I,ve really not heard from anyone with Troll progeny with those issues I,m not saying there not out there I,ve just never run across it.
Ihcz:
You have my respct for producing sound working dogs and working and titleing the dogs you breed. Yes if there were alot more of that the breed would be in far better shape.
Zieg:
I completly agree with you.
Kali:
Thanks, In my opinion some of the best dogs I,ve seen have no IPO titles and what is IPO title ? A sport title has nothing to do with breed worthiness. We can thank the S.V. for that.
Dogs have to be worked to be evaluated end of story. You can read everything any judge has written, or owner has advertised but in the end the dog has to show Health, working instincts, physical agality, and the abality to deal with stress.

"Keith: Really! Keith."
I like the bloodlines; just think that it's a slippery slope when you start foregoing normal health screenings and making excuses for not titling and breed surveying your breeding dogs. As a working K9, I'm fine with the sire but why not go ahead and put a title on the female? Lots of people think they know how to assess a dog's working ability and maybe you do but then again... I just think it starts a bad trend...people with a lot more time, experience and accomplishment in the breed than you still think it's important to prove their dogs' breedworthiness.

SchH does not prove breed worthiness anymore. It's been way too watered down.
