He doesn't want a big dog. Stasi will not work. He also wants some temperamental things that I'm not sure Stasi will provide, either. I made a suggestion and he didn't like that the dog wasn't instantaneous on the out. I personally like a dog who doesn't let go before commanded to, but to each his own. I had thought of Stasi too, but was told those things and decided Alex's dogs wouldn't work. They are stunning, though.

Hi Quddu and Jenni,

I went on STASI KENNEL'S web and am really impressed by their dog,
the thing about size is that I wat dog to be within the chart of height limit of 65 cm.

Regards on temperament, I prefer dog to have high please drive that can keep them focus on owner's command,
one reason is that my wife will spend majority of the time to be with them, I need the dog can be under her control
cause she is on the smaller size.

I would like to find a way to understand STASI's website, I could not understand the language.

I really appreciate your information and help, especially Jenni.

Alex does check in with the DDRLegends Facebook page and he speaks English fairly well. However, I did try to email him a few weeks ago and didn't hear back, so I wouldn't email him. I'd call or write him on Facebook.

I hate to burst your bubble, but if you think a 64cm dog is much different than a 66cm dog when it comes to physically controlling them, you're sadly mistaken, LOL! Trust me...I have had both. I am a small woman and you need to use your brain, not your brawn;-). I honestly would throw the size consideration out the window. If the dog is within standard, it's within standard and the main thing you want is biddability, not a smaller dog your wife will have to manhandle. Get the right dog and don't worry about the measuring stick. Just my opinion.

can you post an example of what you believe is a DDR with a good conformaiton?

by greg1886t on 01 October 2012 - 11:10

Hi SitasMom,

I do not have any pic of ddr with conformation type that I prefer, but I think URF Z JIRKOVA DVORA is pretty close
to the type I am looking for.
You can kind of  browse his name for his stacking picture.

You would've liked my Caleb, Greg. People saw Urf's headshots and thought it was Caleb. More than one person asked me if my photos had been stolen, LOL.

I suggest looking at what produced URF, and going from there, rather than looking for ones that look like him. As puppies, they won't, so look carefully at the bloodlines when taking your gamble on a puppy.

Vali from Caini de Politie has a lovely Urf son for sale, the pup's name's Surf and it's dam is Sheila Jipo me. Really good pedigree and the pup looks just like it's sire Urf. Hope that helps, here's a link to the pup https://www.cainidepolitie.com/surfcainidepoitie.html
