LOl !! Musher got it !! I also keep a couple rolls of Vetwrap in my truck.. (I have horses)  so put a sock on and then you can wrap the foot and that stuff is great for a quick fix for any leg foot or your own injuries! just be careful not to wrap too tight.. it will cut off circulation quickly .. but sticks to itself and is pretty tough if wrapped enough.. cheap and easy to cut off! We keep them in our EMT bags.. and I get them cheaper at the feed store rather than go through the medical supply store!! I dont think it would last for a long time due to wearing out.. but for a quick jaunt and then peel off.. it might work for what you need ??

These booties last 100+ miles and should work fine for what you're looking for. I'd try either the 'tough boots' @ 2.50.ea or the 'tough boots with grip' @ 3.50.ea

Excellent company to work with for any type of sledding equipment.

Ang,

Those are very interesting. I couldn't find where they say the boots are good for 100 miles. Can you point me to where it says that? I'm getting way less than that now. Thanks

gaf, their standard green booties "They can easily last over 100 miles depending on snow conditions and proper toe nail trimming."

And their race wight booties "Our Racing Blue Ultra-Lite Booties are almost half the weight of the Standard Green Booties offering a lighter feel for the dogs while lasting as well depending on trail conditions"

Their tough booties will last longer than that on snow but less on dirt (personal experience)

Irony, I have some of that mushers secret here. I have a full container of it that I never used. I may give it a try until I get something in. I will definitely check out the links provided though for the shoes.  I was fortunate enough thiis evening to be able to go.....no sun because of the storms trying to brew, and I took both Auggie and Buck.  We met I don't know how many people and the dogs let them pet them, and Buck would shake some people's hands (I figure Buck could be hired on as a greeter there or at Wal Mart).
