He's a very nice looking dog, Keith. If you plan to show him, I think he could finish his AKC championship. .....JUST KIDDING!!!! DON'T GET MAD!!!!!

LMAO! Nice, Blitzen! I might do that...he went SG-11 at NASS last year at 22 months.

You should do it Keith! I think he would do well too! I am planning to show Cisko in AKC this summer for fun :-)

You don't think his topline is too roached? You know how these showline dogs have those roachy toplines. Is he a hock-walker?
BTW, am I the only one who knows how hard it is to get a stacked picture of a dog when you, the owner/handler, is trying to stack the dog and the person taking the picture has no idea what he/she is trying to take a picture of? Dear god...

That's a great start, Keith. A nice placment at NASS is something to be proud of.
We are seeing more and more GSL's in the AKC ring and they are doing well. If any of you are going to show in FL let me know, I'll come and support you.
At an area specialty last year we had a Ober son in the open class. He was way out of condition and a rather big dog so clumsy, so didn't place; I think a reduction in weight could have made the difference. AKC breeder-judges don't like fat GSD's LOL. At a VA specialty Dave Plank's beautiful Waiko won the major and the next day one of Dan Smith's imports took the major. Judges Gleason and Goldfarb, they aren't afraid to put up a German dog. A puppy out of my girl went Best Puppy in Show at a specialty a few months back. What made that such a neat win for us was he was produced with frozen semen from my AKC Ch's Sch3 g-grandsire. We believe he may be the first Best in Specialty Show GSD Puppy sired by a Sch 3 import. My girl's sire is the only V rated, Sch 3 KKL1 am bred AKC CH in breed history, so that puppy was over 50% German dogs with Sch 3's including the females. Believe it or not, he stirred up a lot of interest from some ASL breeders who know that they need to improve their dogs with some new blood.
At any rate, good luck Theresa and get with the program, Keith

I hate trying to get stacked pix with my SO. Sooo frustrating! My 9 year old son is way better at taking stacked pix. I torture him with dog pix all the time. ;-)

Awesome Blitzen! That's really great news. Congrats on your successes too! That is great to hear. Keep up the great work!
