I didn't know this either, about George! Very cool. Thanks GG for posting this.

I think I first heard about his involvement in the breed and with USCA back when the US hosted the WUSV Worlds in Boston...if memory serves, Foreman made a significant financial contribution to help fund that event.

I also read that George hoped to produce "the best German Shepherd" the world has seen, and that he paid $25,000 for one of his dogs,!

He can certainly afford to pay a lot for his dogs.

One thing I liked about his interview is that he made some solid remarks one of which stuck out to me, that many exhibitors, breeders and trainers who think their dogs will never bolt and get hurt...was
Always keep your dog on a leash ,no matter how well trained he is when out and about and not in a safe environment with boundaries.
Many a dog, like his own, has been killed with one quick movement off leash..
George Foreman does not ride any fences, he speaks from the knowledge he has acquired and yes his pocketbook is deep and that is wonderful
I chuckled when ask about showing in AKC>>>lol
His answer was spot on nicely and very polite.

One of his Sheps he has was $21,000 from what I've read. Now how much of that is true, I don't know. But I'm glad he picked the right breed!

George has had top Gsd for many many years. He once brought a very high placing dog from Germany and lost it to an accident.( I think killed by vehicle if I remember correctly, this was many years ago.). I think this is why he is so adamant about care and keeping your dog on leash. I could be wrong...lol
