Conspicuous, Bio-Spot is a flea and tick, mosquito, fly insecticide and repellent applied on the dog's back one a month. It also has an insect growth regulator ingredient (IGR) which prevents insect EGGS from hatching. I used it seventeen years ago and have not had a flea problem since. When training dogs would come in over the years that carried any fleas in with them, I would dose every one and prevent any infestation. During tick season I use it if ticks start showing up on the dogs. This product is not so toxic like Front line. I've never had a dog have any adverse reaction like with frontline or revolution. This is not a heart worm preventative so is not over loading a dog's system. Jeffers carries it and Tractor Supply. A lot of feed stores usually carry it as well. Very inexpensive. Using it on the ears is off label, ok'd by my vet, and when I told him how great it works to stop fly bites, he started doing the same for his dogs.

Oh THANK YOU ALL!!!   You have, as I had hoped, been a great wealth of suggestions which I would never have had access to otherwise.  Both I, and my dogs, are greatly appreciative!!
