Yeah, we saw those pics already. Except for the bottom, overstretched one, they were already posted.
SS, I wasn't talking about Star!!! Please tell her I'm sorry for any misunderstanding. I was speaking in general terms, if I could design the 'perfect dog' I would prefer perfecty parallel ears, high on the head, with a broad enough head/face that the base of the ears doesn't stick out obviously.
I will try to find some pics. I am not and was not bashing any particular dog. And I can't post pics of bad ear sets; I have this bizarre thing against criticizing dogs' pictures. I feel horrible for them when they get posted and everyone tears them apart........as if they know! LOL

Relax, Jenni, I love Star just the way she is. I think she has a very sensitive, feminine look to her face, and the big ears are a trait of her bloodline. When I found out she was descended from one of the original Shiloh foundation dogs, (which were GSDs, of course) (Ria line) Ma Shiloh immediately commented "No WONDER she's got such big ears!"
I think my male, Ranger, has an earset that is pretty much ideal for a GSD:
