If you can't get the dog's registration papers and don't care about breeding or showing her in conformation, apply for an Indefinite Listing Privilidge - ILP number. The link above will direct you how to do it. Then she can be shown in any AKC approved venue other than conformation and you can stop aggrevating yourself trying to get papers from another GSD breeder who doesn't give a crap. You are one of the lucky ones given your daughter can continue her hobby without the cooperation of said breeder.

Thank you Blitzen,
I appreciate your time and advice. Luckily, I have been the one who has had to deal with Kaykohl and have been able to keep my daughter away from the aggravation! Besides....who needs a poor excuse of a breeder when this website is available!!!!
Thank you again!

I don't really have anythign useful to add as I live in teh UK, but good luck to your daughter and her pup. If they're enjoying each other then I'd go with the advice re the ILP number.
Also, it may be worth lettign the AKC know about Kaykohl and your suspicions re "bait & switch". It happens a lot more than we hear about.
Finally, even though Laszlo isn't responsible for what has happened, do you think it may be worth asking him if he is able to get a copy of the registration papers from Hungary to send to you? Then you can forget about Kaykohl altogether. It woudl also save you a small fortune on legal fees if you didn't have to go down that route too - unless in the US you can apply for costs to be awarded to the winner of a case?
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hi Stumpy,
I am letting akc know. Apparently I have to do so in a written letter so hopefully it will be done today. You are right about the small fortune in legal fees and right now I am bleeding money as I have to pay for 3 college tuitions!!!!!! Sometimes it the principle of the thing!
I could and will ask Laszlo as a last resort...I still feel that he shouldn't be put out because of another person's mistakes. I may appeal to him for help. I am not a breeder nor importer / exporter so I do not know how much extra work it would be for him. If it isn't a big deal then I will ask him. If there are any breeders who know I would appreciate some info and opinions on wether or not I should ask him. He might not even be aware of all the problems people have had with Kaykohl over here and may not want to lose a good customer....don't know.
As for daughter and pup....they are great together....and she has now reached the point where she will never own any other dogs other than the GSD..she doesn't know it yet...but I see it! :) If you know what I mean!

Following the suggestions of some on this messageboard, I contacted the breeder in Hungary again ( Laszlo from VIERNHEIMI.HU
). I told him of the latest problem. A week later he responded saying he also had reached out to Farrah at Kaykohl and had not heard anything (SHOCKER). He then told me he would look into what he could do to help me get the papers. Thank you to all who answered and offered advice. I will keep you posted.Contact information Disclaimer Privacy Statement Copyright Information Terms of Service Cookie policy ↑ Back to top
