The most amazing person that I ever met, was not at a dog show...but at a trial instead.
A very pretty, young girl...who had a laugh that would make anyone smile.
She was sitting amongst the spectators, and was intrigued by the dog's trialing for their Schutzhund titles. I remember her saying that she would love to learn the sport and hopefully trial someday......but the dog that she had at the moment was not "geared" towards the sport.....he was her service dog.
This young girl's dog had severe medical issues, so with a broken heart...she laid him to rest.  Carlos & I offered her a very special puppy...that we had planned to keep for ourselves.  He became her best friend, her partner, her service dog.....AND....she learned the sport of Schutzhund with him.  She trained him along with Carlos.
Her name is Hillary Plogg.
Till today....she is one of our best friends.....and everyday she is a huge inspiration to me.
She trains service dogs for an organization, is an Art Teacher for children K thru 4th grade....and trains every weekend with us. She is waiting for her next "special puppy" to be available (her service dog died last year).....
Hillary is one of the most amazing people you can meet. She adds sunshine to any day....and is the most supportive person to all who know her.
*Thanks for letting me share that story*

I think I'd rather have met Hillary than Rod Stewart.

Dog shows can bring out the best and the worst in people.  While we were showing dogs we met some of the most amazing people, one a young girl  introduced herself to us and wanted to talk about Beagles.  At the time we were showing a young male who was finished in Canada and was one point shy of his AKC title.  Well this young gril was looking for a nice dog to show in Juniors and in regular classes and we had already thought about finding a Junior to take this male.  Well we gave her the dog with the understanding she finish him and if she decided showing dogs was not for her he was to come back to us.  Well that was many years ago, she has moved on to college in another state and still has him and the CH female we helped her obtain.  She has remained a close and dear friend, belive me there is nothing like seeing my husband in his bibs hanging out with a young lady with spiked green or red or yellow or purple hair!!
