Someone in The USA has to get the ball rolling on the AKC accepting RSV2000 registrations. The CKC issue with RSV2000 registrations should be cleared up soon.

Hedi, let us know more about your RSV2000 dog if you do go that way.

I like the way they test all the dogs they approve for stud. The tests (sichtung) are on their website and in PDF form. Quite impressive.

Anybody know if other FCI countries accept RSV dogs? Or is it done on a country-by-country basis?

All FCI-VDH affiliated registries should recognize both the SV and RSV2000 registries.
Canada and the USA are acceptions at the moment. I don't know about Mexico.

so what are the drawback at this point? Not being able to participate in WUSV? I would have guessed more people would be joining RSV2000, think most working line folks know the SV is no good.

Gusmanda, sad thing is that everyone has an issue with something (UScA, WDA, SV, etc.) with any organization.  You cannot please everyone.

What´s the point to have a pedigree from RSV 2000 instead of a pedigree from the kennelclub in the country someone lives in?

not really trying to have a pedigree from RSV2000 rather than my local kennelclub, just trying to figure out if buying a puppy with RSV2000 would be an issue at some point.
