I live in Tennessee close to Memphis in the county. So far the Sherrif dept has been supportive for the most part. There are police reports now so a definate pattern is developing.

Jeeze...just take the collars off them. The worst punishment he could get is barking GSDs 24/7. If he complains, explain very carefully why you had to take the collars off them. If he complains to AC, tell them you thought he liked the barking since he's always making them do it.

Well congratulations for the restraint, you definately have more than me, if they had sprayed my dogs with mace there would have been SERIOUS problems. If they are escelating to that make sure to check your yard before you let your dogs out, probably wouldn't be past them to soak meat in antifreeze, etc and toss it over the fence. But I would definately take the collars off the dogs.

Sorry to hijack the thread, I need neighbor advise also. While I don't have a dog, I am a dog lover and do not want to harm any animal. My neighbor, a renter, moved in with her Beagle who barks any time anyone is near their house. We live in town homes with connected back yards and patios, when I'm in the front yard the dog is barking, same for the back yard, same for everyone who comes and goes. The neighbor is beligerant, and cursed at me when I approached her calmly. I have been documenting diligently, but I have never called the cops on anyone and don't really want to.
Will a dog whistle work to silence the animal if I blow a short burst when the dog barks?
