There isn't enough info to make a determination. Where is the video being shot? If it's at the property owners place and the "stranger" just showed up,OK. If this is the reaction to a "stranger" walking by in a neutral setting, such as park..., then no you wouldn't want the dog to act this way. Again not enough info to make an intelligent determination.

To me? Neither- just poor socialization. She keeps backpaddling. I think you could probably scare her off by making a lot of noise and running at her.

I have dogs who act like that very frequently in my group obedience classes. After training a foucus cue and some socialization they're usually pretty normal. I think she's mostly barking because she's conflicted. She might be able to train as a PPD or something- others can judge that better than I can. All I know is, to me, she just looks unsocialized and unconfident.

I'm not thinking about buying this dog, no, just curious about others opinions and such.

Thank you for commenting, everyone.

And sorry about my avatar... I find myself too lazy to change it to something less creepy. ;P

I like what I see. Id like to see more to make a determination. Dog has probably had no training whatsoever. Id like to see her ball drive and and an actual bite on a sleeve. And not to forget her pedigree...lol

What ever it is or who ever it is, it kind of looks like a co-worker of mine.

Is it a troll?

Wow. Am I seeing a different video than some of you? I don't see a stranger just walking by. I see an overweight guy that is drawing a response. What do you expect out of an untrained dog when a large man comes up and gives a frontal without saying a word?

Just basic agitation by acting suspicious, enough eye contact to be  precieved a threat.

Not a big deal.

I think most people were speaking to the dog, not the other guy.

Also the dog dosnt seem to have the support from the handler, he needs.  Physically the handler is actually correcting the dog for going after the man.  Someone said their seems to be confusion/uncerainity.  Poor, poor, poor handler skills.  This alone will lower cofidence in some dogs.  No encouragement and even discouragement through the leash.  The dog is in the fight by himself and he knows it.  With good training it may be a decent dog.

The agitator draws the dog out and the handler reels the dog back in.  In the middle is the dog who may otherwise show more confidence through his bark.

No "Handler" would handle a dog so incorrectly, because if......if that dog wanted to go after the so called agitator/decoy, which it clearly did not. The handler would have been dragged on his ass.

Or are we watching different videos?
