GSDs will lie with you all day? Huh. All this time I thought I had GSDs, but I do not possess a single dog that will lie with me all day.

Don't feel bad Jenni...my Norbo Ben Ju daughter turns 7 this year and she still want lie there all day with anyone lol! Hell if I didn't crate her sometimes I don't think she would lie down at all lol!!!!

Now my male GSD who turns 10 this year is like a rug...unless you fire him up!

Her cousin still doesn't sleep, either. Maybe when he turns 10??? Not hyper and neurotic- don't get me wrong-just not one to lie there and cuddle all day...I still have to practically sit on him to pet him. He's not the hands-on affection type. My import bitch is much more affectionate, but even she is not going to be seen cuddling and lying around all day.

I try and lay down with my girl and she will be calm for about 30 seconds then start winning. After a few more seconds she will grab my arm in her mouth and start pulling to get me up to play, hide my arms under a blanket and she begins to bark at me. If I can get her away from me long enough so I can fall asleep, she will find things in the house to play with and destroy. She is no couch potato.

I posted this on another thread, but I'll post it again. Astro is one of my working/showline pups, shown here with 'his' girl, my granddaughter. He's a ball of fire, except when she's holding him; then he's as gentle as a kitten, & as happy as a dog can get! And he'll be still as long as she is....which usually isn't long anyway! And here's the same girl with her Mom, & Astro's mom Kali, all cuddling on the bed together. Anyone think love can be passed down from Dam to pup? They are both wildly in love with this girl, & super protective of her! It's a beautiful thing to see....jackie harris
