I hear you Don.  But its winter here, cold but hardly any snow.  However in my backyard which is in a reconstruction phase to put in a grassy area and a lower level to put in a garden, this areas was iced and patches of snow from an earlier snowfall.  This area is shadowed by a very high garage that blocks the sun to melt this section of the yard.  So they puppies come running out of the heated garage when I open the door to explore.  But I do take them into the house, one at a time to see how they handle the carpet, hardwood and the linoleum surface.  While there playing with my grandson, I would get a pot and drop it by them, no problem.  They had no problem with the different surfaces.  As if it was no different than the concrete surface in the garage.  One other thing, as soon as they came out of the whelping box in the garage, they were then again blocked in by a fence like foot and half plywood.  The box was off the concrete on pallets.  But to get out I made sure they had to manauver over several obsticles like wood with different heights, so they were climbing over these things to get to me on the other side of the "fence".  When they see me come through the door, the would scale that " fence" like it wasn't a problem for them!

I understand what you mean. I have had some little fence scalers here also. The first one started at about 5 weeks scaling a 2 foot wall to get to me.
I had 2 litters (a total of 12 pups). By 6 weeks they were all scaling the wall when I opened their doors.

See guys!  I'm really not making this stuff up.  I'm just trying to respond to the person with the question of selecting just to help.  I'm not heavy into this selecting stuff but I was just sharing some info from my experience of this litter.  Now I'm sure there are a bunch of different selection methods out there, and I'm give this posting my info.  I wish some of you guys would be more forth coming with your info. to educate as oppose to bashing and attacking.  Gracious me!  Why is this necessary?!!.

Tenmon, you're right! We should share more! In my car I hide a Sarah McLaughlin CD that I sing to.

Don,

I would like to request that we don't share more. I could understand if you had a song or two on an Ipod, but a whole album you sing along to. Come on man.
