I am sorry to hear about your Carl...One thing I have learned as a nurse is no one knows the patient like the family, especially a spouse.....I pray Carl will recover completely and be restored to good health very soon.....Keep us updated .....

I'm so sad to read this. Don't beat yourself up for breaking down, we all have that point at which we need to cry and release some of that pain/stress. Sending prayers your way. Wishing you both the best.

Thank you all so very much! You'll never know how much your prayers mean to both of us. I read your sentiments to Carl this morning, & this afternoon he's much brighter. Physical therapy even got him up to a chair. His Doc said he may return to therapy as long as he's on the blood thinners. I am thrilled, & sooo relieved! I truly believe that your prayers & positive energy help, & I believe I see results already. You all are awesome! Thank you so much! jackie harris

I am glad Carl has improved, it was sad news to read your first post.
Tell him it is not his time yet and he will be back home soon.
If it is possible wheel him outside for some fresh air, nothing heals the spirit like the warmth of sunshine and a fresh breeze in your face, perhaps even a visit from his favorite dog could be arranged.
Hospitals can be so depressing sometimes.
A strong spirit is as important as therapy and medications when it comes to healing.
