BTW, Shade won the IPO1 at the AWMA 2008 Nationals with Reiki also.

Regardless, it would be interesting to know if the altitude was a factor. After all, WHEN did we ever see this outcome in the past few years? :-)
Then again, Al Banuelos got that 100 pt. Performance in the 98 USA Nationals in Denver. Hmmmmm
It will be interesting to hear Shade's take on why the mals didn't trounce the gsds. Even more interesting will be Les's take. Anyone called Miss Raylynn? LOL

Supposedly altitude is not that much of a factor for dogs, unlike humans. Reik didn't seem to be affected.
I'd say the mals did pretty well, first, fourth and fifth at IPO 3. There were some really good performances all around, having nothing to do with breed. Great trial!

The reference to the breed's is just friendly banter ... Mal's in both PSA and Schutzhund excel, so anytime a German Shepherd out scores a Mal in any event is an opportunity for us GS owners to tease the Mal owners. As far as where I'm concerned, it is not to offend any breed. We get our share of teasing for our GS's so it's fun to "back in your face" to the Mal owners in our club
Again, Congratulations on your VPGII - Your OB with Reiki is always inspiring to watch
