A great Champion with a worthless title.
If you don't judge, be part of a click, an influential Society member or pay a judge/professional handler to show your dog will you ever make up a champion? Having seen Elmo at Manchester it's nice to hear that he's now a Champion, a fabulous dog, but if he wasn't handled by the Judge that gave him his first ticket and maybe owned by, say your next door neighbour, new to the show world, would his Champion status be celebrated on this board?..........I'm so glad I packed in showing a while ago, corruption is still the bloodline of all dog showing.

I'm so glad you packed in showing with an attitude like that. I am happy to celebrate a great win for a fabulous dog no matter who owns, bred or handled him.

He also got Best in Show at the Birmingham National this weekend. What a great result for a GSD at an all breed Ch show after all the recent troubles.
I think this dog is winning on pure merit, he is stunning & well deserves his success so far, no matter who is owning / handling / judging.
A group of us were watching the judging at the SAT's show & had never seen him in the flesh before. All we knew was that this stunning dog walked into the ring & looked totally amazing, he just strode around, posing himself, with no imput from the handler as the judging hadn't even started. We all loved him & then checked our catalogues & realised that it was Elmo.

Lilydexter You must not forget that all the work was done on this dog was in germany.
The thanks should also go to the german keepers who have put in hours and hours of work into this dog.
Elmo is a good dog i wish the owners a good future with him.
