Yes.  We put our old girl on it when we realized she had HD and it made a huge improvement in her ability to get around without limping etc.  We started our new girl on it at 3mo and I take it myself.  True believer in the stuff.

Moonlite, I'm a raw feeder too. I offer chicken feet (as treats) to add glucosamine to my boy's diet.

There is glucosimine in chicken's feet? I also was wondering if people feed chicken or turkey feet to there dogs and if they really like them.

Yes!! There is lots of glucosimine in chicken feet. I haven't encountered Turkey feet around here, but I do have easy access to both chicken and duck feet. My guys LOVE them!! I freeze them (footsicles) and just toss them one each every other day or so.

I have given Synoquin previously to my veteran Spaniel cross. Synoquin is made up of glucosamine and chondroitin.

According to my vet there are different ways that chondroitin can be made and there is sometimes a lot more salt in human grade chondroitin because of the way it is produced.
