Maybe I am missing something, but I just  don't see what you guys are seeing.  The pup in the ad, looks like his undercoat is coming in thick, he has the fuzzies, and that's a crappy picture, for sure, but I don't see anything that indicates there is anything wrong with the pup or the kennel operation.   The other pups look fine to me also.  Nice working lines too.

SUEINCC.    I'm thinking by your comments the breeders/keepers of the pups must be your buddies ?.

The pups coat has never been groomed by the looks of it and is caked in mud or other, looks like it's been rained on and left to lie in it.    The other pups are clearly very under weight !, the only ones that look OK are the older ones that I expect were sold to other owners.

I would prefer to see photos of clean puppies in perfect stacks. I'd also perfer to see that the dam and sire were titled.....but the puppies seem to be taken care of..........as far as photography, I'd prefer to see less stuff  (junk stacked) in the background, and a smile from the woman who is posing the puppy......

nice focus on this one......

Nope never met them, don't know them.  As far as being thin, well I keep my pups and dogs thin too. Puppies roll around in the mud and the rain and their water dish, and usually have a ball while their doing it.  I don't think a little mud and water is a sign of mistreated pups.  I might be wrong, it looks like most people agree with you, I just am missing it I guess.

I'm missing it too Sue & SM.......?
They look like dirty, little farm kept puppies.......maybe "thin" for some people...but definitely not mal-nourished nor starved.
In very rural areas, I don't think it's that un common to see animals like that.....
Muddy, dirty puppies, that run around outside are healthier than sparkly clean puppies being kept in "chicken coup" cages in pet stores.
No...I don't know these people either......but I can't trash someone over dirty puppies.

A bath and a good dewormer (tongue is almost white) and they'd look fine to me too. The parents may not be titled, but other than that I love the pedigree. If they weren't so far away, $600 is a decent price, providing the parents have been hip/elbow certified.  JMO

Mystere

I agree with Sue and Robin and Kim (the world won't end!! ):  nothing apparently wrong with the puppy, that a nice bath wouldn't cure.  NOT the smartest way to advertise a pup for sale, but the woman in the pic doesn't look too clean, either.  This is right up there with the ad that ran for some time on this forum showing a very dirty kid holding a big-boned puppy.

by LMH on 28 October 2009 - 13:10

Those pups look just fine.  With all the shit that takes place around here, THIS is what concerns some.....rural, outdoorsy, mud babies.  Incredible.  Q Man has always been nice and helpful.......obviously not greedy.....but perhaps a bit too unpretentious.

BTW, Mystere.... what were you thinking???  (No stupid smiley face.)

I own Holly Von Der Bleuhaus, She came clean and I,ve seen all the parents to listed pup,s they are healthy and in good condition. I,ve seen several of the afore mentioned parents work and they all are fine speciemans. I,ve personnely seen several of the pup,s at training they are happy well cared for and in sound physical condition.

Granted I would of used a better pic of the posted pup for a sales photo. Yes he needs a bath and a combing after but to say close someone down from a single pic? is jumping the gun.

I will suggest to them to use a different pic next time.
