I must be missing something....I read the thread...aside from personal feelings towards poster i don't see the point...
- breeder/original owner wants dogs,
- dead owners friends will not give them back,
- attorney said nothing can be done....
- so, she will not be getting her dogs back....

LadyFrost, slight difference we could click on the answer to the "missing cat", lol.

It's hocus pocus with words... Now, who said them, and now, how they don't.
LadyFrost, sorry if you don't get the finer subtleties of how this pathetic handling and attempt to bully and manipulate by Molly is so distasteful. If you believe what comes out of her mouth at face value, that may not work to your advantage, no sirree, that's part of it. Like how they aren't Molly's dogs, just her breeding.

The point that has been made, several times, but not absorbed by a select few is that a contract made with a person is null & void after that person dies. All this arguing about "the contract" is fruitless. Any discussion about "the contract" is moot. There is no contract. Period. End of story. If a NEW contract was to be entered into, it would have been wiser to offer some empathy, not give more grief. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Your moron, jackie harris

I felt I wanted to respond to this thread, I am not a breeder, I have purchased a dog from Eichenluft. The dog is everything I was told it would be and more. I was referred to Eichenluft by a very old friend, this is my 3rd WL GSD, not heavily experienced, but from my first 2, I knew what I didn't want. Nightmeres, both of them, as well as their breeders. When I phoned Eichenluft for the first time, I didn't get, send me a check, I will send you a dog, I got, lets talk. My spouse and I visited Eichenluft twice, we got to know Molly and all of her dogs, and she got to know us. A gorgeous high spirited WL GSD puppy came home with us finally, was a happy day for us. This dog is the light of my life, AWESOME, in every way, the dog I have wanted all my life.
Over the 2 years that I have owned this dog, I have been to Eichenluft's on 3 more occasions, once for her E-Pup Reunion, we live a distance away, so when we go, we are there for several days. I also took advantage of the private E-pup list, where we newbies, experienced, and the breeder, all talk. They supported me, encouraged me, through the raising of this pup. I have learned alot about Eichenluft's character, heard alot, one thing I know for a fact, she will take a dog back at any time, for any reason, then do her best to find this dog the right home. She never turns away one of her pups, ever.
I signed the contract, with the first right of refusal, and that means to me that she cares about the dogs she produces, she took the time to screen us, for sure, and rightly so, she wanted this young pup she entrusted with me to be raised properly, taken care of, given all that a WL GSD needs. I also have learned over the 2 years, that should my dog be 10, and need a home, she would still be there, to find the dog a home. In our household, there are 2 people invested in this dog, loving it with all our hearts, and I know there is a 3rd, Molly. WL GSD's are not easy dogs to live with if not given the proper direction, exercise, stimulation, work to do, so I don't think it is an easy task to just say, my relative will tend to this dog, should I or my spouse pass away. I don't think any of my current family members would know what to do with this dog, especially at 2 years of age. Then, friends, maybe, in a certain situation, but I would want to know for sure that they were as in love with this dog as we are. I know now, for a fact, that Molly, assuming she was okay, would do the best for this dog. I look at this situation on the thread, as Molly sold the dogs to one person, that person passed away, sadly, but the dogs were left with a friend, so now the friend has all rights? Molly didn't sell the dogs to the person's friends, and there is no way of knowing how these dogs are actually being kept.
I feel some of you have been unfair in your critique of Eichenluft, all I can say is what I have learned over the past two years, nobody cares more about her pups and what happens to them than Molly, she may get angry, but the dog's welfare is the bottom line always. I know Molly, and I am glad that I do, and I have plans to purchase another dog in the future. She cares more than you can imagine, and if I were her, it would bother me alot, that these dogs are with strangers.
Don't slam me or Molly, Molly did not ask me to write this, I did it on my own, this is my experience. I am new, not heavily experienced, but I had 2 very bad episodes with 2 past breeders, and I have to say Eichenluft gives everything she says she will!!!!!
