It's nothing personal, Haley. We all make mistakes. This is an opportunity to learn.. sadly, the hard way.
I just talked with a friend in Arizona and she says people are all in an uproar and taking sides over a couple of dogs that got shot dead by a farmer. He found one of his calves mauled by dogs and dead a day or so, before. He was perfectly within his right to do it.

To me, I see a dog as a three year old in a marathon runner's body. They can travel huge distances and get into a lot of trouble. I would no more turn my dog loose to run than I would leave my five year old at the amusement park, alone for the afternoon. Dogs can get into SOOO much trouble, unwatched. In the area of Virginia and surrounding states, animal rights activists have been known to pick up dogs.. even hunting dogs with radio tracking collars and ID on them.. and promptly put them to sleep forever. See petakillsanimals.com. There are a lot of really sick idiots out there.

I had a friend at work who thought it was "cruel" to put a dog in a "cage", or a fenced yard. She and her S/O had a little Brittany Spaniel bitch that they let run free in the neighborhood during the day, while they were at work. That bitch had been hit by cars and put back together three times, already, and had pins in her pelvis. It's just hard to understand the thinking, there. That wasn't cruel? But, this same gal would call the animal control to report someone over keeping a dog in a fenced 400 sq ft yard. Crazy!

I'm confused...  the Humane Society doesn't know where the dog is?   Can you go there with a picture, in person, with vet records...

Now I'm really interested!  This dog is related to my girl.  Check it out.  They look so much alike it startled me.  Look under Morgan's Echo of Airin and check the pedigree.

I think her pic is here. I may have done it wrong.  It doesn't show here, maybe it will after I post.

Please disregard the background but here is a picture of my Echo and she looks a lot like Halley VII.  And no wonder!  They share the same grandsire NobleCroft Ted-Son Super Jet!!  Echo was fat in this picture.  She looks even more like Halley now.
