lol i love your explanations. is that how you train with people when they ask questions? just tell them you have 30 yrs experience and they'll understand it one day? imo if you cant explain it to a 5 yr old then you dont really understand what you're doing either.

let me get this straight; the owner is agitating the dog into defense while a stranger holds the dog and pets the dog. it must be top level training because to me that seems like the complete opposite thing to do.

It´s about the size, Hans, not about anything else you mentioned, but you are right, I never needed paid employees to walk my dogs.
Moral principles differ, I know, but thank you for the clarification.

Teeth Smile  Good night !

Yes boomer one day you will understand ...maybe. Who said "the stranger" is holding the dog. You just made that up! You just do not know enough to even ask  intelligent question. Both of the guys who are partners they both know the dog closely. They are their dogs. And FYI  I have 47 years of experience with dogs  and not 30 as you are saying. Wink Smile

Oh and Boomer I would never attempt to teach you anything. After all you already know it all. After all you got one 1/2 way trained dog.

" And nowhere have i said that Natural defusing is bred out of the dog."
Well, Hans, then maybe you need to memorize what you type, because on page 14 you said it is :

"....then it shows how the dog cen [sic] naturally quickly defuse,  which is one of the attributes of old style CZ GSD and it is being bred out of GSd these days."
And I responded to that baloney telling you my dogs are ALL 'clear' in the head during protection work, which means they diffuse after the threat is neutralized. You seem to have a rather short memory for what you compose on these threds.

At the end of the day, it's all Adolph Hitler's fault. [drops mike, walks off stage]

That usually ends circular arguments on the 'net, right? [Though in this instance, it is sort of applicable...]

Have you ever noticed how people who have no explanation for doing something deplorable, when called out, will respond to questions with vitriol and unwarranted insults.

It is totally possible for a person to have ONE year's experience for 47 years....but that doesn't make them 'experienced' ( except for that one year's worth:-)

Prager i know how to defuse a dog . i know whats meant by it .I don't have 47 years experience but have enough to under stand my dogs .Theirs no point in me going in to detail because the way most of this thread has gone you would more than likely tell me i am wrong .But i will say i while back i posted a video with a young dog showing good aggression a when he bit and was caled of he defused immediately as joan said clear head this dog switches on and off without hesitation.
