Not even close.
If you knew anything, my screenname itself should tell you exactly what type of dogs like I like.
Czechs, DDR, West... whatever direction you go, every single one of them has to cook with water. I've seen quite a few seriously messed up Czech dogs that I wouldn't have wanted around family or friends and that had nothing to do with them being too hard or civil. They were simply not stable.

I've switched to tracking training mostly since I can do this on my own. We earned all three Ipo tracking titles including 99 tr2 and 95 tr3 and could easily do an FH. Also have our first Akc TD title and are working hard surface now.
As for breeding, I haven't but the people interested in him are those who breed for police and not sport.

Nope, these were not made.
And I certainly know the difference between made and serious nervebags.
Why? I too rehabbed quite a few dogs that got ruined.
There are good and bad dogs everywhere. Lately, I've seen quite a few dogs that were downright dangerous. One of them mauled a friend of mine, the other one went almost after me, and yet another one is not right in his head. I had one that ran against a window to get out of a building. Another one was bought through a Facebook Working Dog Page. They paid a lot of money for that dog, and the dog couldn't function in public. Just like the other one I had. Ran against a wall to get out of the building. Took us a month for him to warm up in the training building, but there was no rehabbing because it was nerves.
I boarded a puppy that's already sharp and defensive, tons of conflict.
I'm in the business of Training Pet Dogs. You would not believe how many calls I get for behavioral issues and how many of these are actually nerves. It's not just Shepherds. It's all across the board. From Labs, to Aussies, to Shepherds.
I'm the least person to say that the GSD is ruined. The GSD is NOT ruined in my opinion, however, I'm also realistic about whats out there.
What makes me nauseous is "PPD's" and how many serious shit trainers are out there promoting PPDs. And what oh so hard dogs they have and when you watch those videos you are like "You've got to be kidding me".

@ Barenfangs. I've seen it too. I had a dog I had to rehome. She was scared to death of men and children, despite never having had a bad experience with either one. (I'd owned her since 8 weeks.)
It took 6 weeks in a basic obedience class before she would accept a treat from someone other than me, and 2 or 3 weeks of cowering under my chair before she'd even take a treat from me. Fortunately, she had no desire to bite when frightened (though any dog likely will do that if they think their life is in danger.)
The gal in my sig was a rescue and she had obviously been abused by a man, as she was scared to death of my husband-to-be when I first got her, especially if he had something that looked like a stick in his hand. But she had good nerves, and he kept trying, and soon they were best buddies. She also got over her fear of men in general, and would no longer try to run and hide if one approached her.
@ Bob: LOL!
