"If those dogs were GSDs they would be considered to have weak backs, as the croup is slightly higher than the back, and in some photos, there is a slight dip where the back meets the withers. And, of course, no trace of an arch/roach."
Weak back is exactly the words the judge used when I brought my puppy (Garak (^above) son) to the show. He is built more like a Malinois.

He is obviously very athletic. What registry is LOSH?
And why would the judge say he had a weak back? He may be a little long in the back, but other than that, his back looks fine to me!

It was my Garak pup, Isaak, the judge said was not so good and had a weak back. He does have a longer back. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2185292-wolvesden-orange-boy
I found that very interesting because his parents are the most athletic and sound GSDs I know.
This was him at the show
This is his mother, she is disc league champion (against all the Border Collies etc) and jumping comparable to Garak, her Big Air is huge, better than Garak. Her vertical jumping is also very impressive, well above average. She is also OFA Excellent.

Maybe his back isn't roached enough? Where did you see that, SS?

L.O.S.H. is Belgium

I love a GSD that can do it all and I appreciate how much work it takes to accomplish what this dog has done. Kudos to SportGSD! Every time a GSD accomplishes great things, the entire breed benefits.
