Dog × dog = dog. Every time I breed a dog to a bitch, that's what happens, I get more dogs. Because for thousands of years, that has happened, so I am certain I will always get dogs when I breed two dogs together.
I select for very sound females and exclude females which are not....both temperament and structure, including full dentition, two descended testicles (littermates), strong desire to work with me, tight skin, deep set eyes, erect ears, pronounced musculature, etc, etc. The pups come out the same, usually, seldom with weak nerves or lacking desire to please handler and drives to accomplish training.
I select males which complement my females, good litters have resulted most of the time.

@Bavarian Wagon yes it is true, if you are around dogs for 4 + decades and breed thousands of litters and develop legendary breeding program z Pohranicni straze and z Jirkova dvora And get tens of distinguished breeders be in cooperation with you under your leadership all over the world and get national and international recognition and all that while utilizing knowledge of breeding in male lines and other knowledge, so that you became a president of Czech GSD club,.. then you will have " experience" I do not kow if it is magical or not but that is not being kennel blind.
Take care.
