Dawn G. Bonome

Let the man go on showing all the video he wants showing Malinois. IT IS NOT THE EVERYDAY WORLD. WHAT IS THE POINT TO PROVE?   His aim is to DOWN the GERMAN SHEPHERD... Working and Show lines. Very CLOSED minded, and just wants to ramble on. There is a Malinois Page on the PDB, why isn't he on there with his fellow Malinois owners and Breeders? Because... there is No One on the page for the Malinois.

If you looked at the videos, you would see that there are plenty of German Shepherds however the only show dog that I remember was the K9 dog that got out run by his handler, who fell down and went BOOM.  Once again, follow the tour group and stick to the subject matter,,,,,,,,,do you HONESTLY think this type of breeding is good for the GSD?  If you didn't like the original thread why did you read it?  Why do you keep responding without following the original thought,,,,,,,,,?

This is like the arguments I used to get into in High School.
" My Camaro is better then your Mustang"  The only difference here is that your trying to compare Mustangs to Cadillacs,

Now in the GSD world we compare our Camaros to our Cadillacs. One is a Hot rod quy based on performance and the other is based on style. One just has to decide how his journey down the road is taken...

Everyone is entitled to there own desire and what makes them happy, Both breeds have there positives and there negatives there is no perfect breed

It,s early and i,m off to track since the sun is starting to come up...

Me too, ironically tracking Shepherds

To use your same analogy, my argument is with the "supposed" Cadillac owners who constantly INSIST that their vehicle can outrun and out handle the Camaro (or in this case, a Ferrari).  So get out there Bob and track that Ferrari, I'll go track my Lamborghini while all the Cadillacs sit in the garage.

Actually,  We have 3 Mals in our Shc. Club,  Bristol, who is a great dog,  and has a very level head,  not a nut box like some I have seen,  He can take your arm out when he hits the sleeve,  Another Named Dazzel,  young dog, and a good one,
Then there is a one year old, who is amazing and has to be "slowed down" because we do not want him to become "over the top and uncontrolable" very good dog,  We have had all of the mal-mixed with all different breeds, who cannot even work.  Working with a Sherrif's dept. with their Mal also.  He is coming along, had been beat up by 2 other Depts, before the Officer who has him now,  but coming out of it.
The comparison between Mals and a really good German Shepherd, is an apple and Oranges thing.
But Gucci did hit the sleeve like a freight train, and if you did not listen to Russ about how to catch him, you went down.
Lida  PS, Actually I love the "Gucci Love Fest" Thanks all.

Just a funny short story about Gucci,  "GSDCA"  invited us to bring Gucci to ST. Louis, for a Schutzhund Demo. The President at that time "Lew Bunch" decided he was going to "catch" him. He came to our club and Russ had him put the "leather coveralls on, and he got to get a few bites"  The day of the Demo, Lew wanted a long bite, feeling confident he could handle more than just a bite from the Sitting Position.   OK...Russ sent him, Lew caught him, and immediately Lew went down,  Gucci looked at Lew, Leaned down while the sleeve was still on his arm, and pulled Lew back up...Lew said he was sure he saw Gucci smile.. Well, Phill; let's look at the OP and let's see what the original thought was:

Why is it we have so many goofs in America breeding their pets? Not to mention the fact that the knob is advertising his dog here as a "stud" on a global database that has the premier dogs in the world.

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/classifieds/95315.html

Good thing the dog has been test bred before the age of two before any health checks have been confirmed. Come to think of it, the whole mother line has no hip ratings. Looking forward to hearing the results of how that BH went this year,,,,,boy how exciting

"Goofs" and "knobs" are words usually not used by someone who wants to address things on an even keel.  After reading you put down the GSD, I also wonder about that "global database that has the premier dogs in the world" remark...  I believe you complained at one time, and in another board, about the breeding practices of another breed where they don't even keep records.  Were they Dutch Shepherds or Malis?

So what is the "original thought"?  From where I'm standing it seems to have been that you were bored and came into the GSD board to poke fun at those you deem below you.  I guess I'll take my two "Cadillacs" for a "spin" around the tracks, see how it handles Ob and protection before I take them out among the public.

BTW, did you know that Lambo's  original market was not that of high performance automobiles?  Ever heard of Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A?

There you have it.

After reading everything on these 5 pages my only comment will be this;
I was able to watch "The Man" (Gucci) work in person, in competition. I got goosbumps then and still do
now, even when I watch his videos, and I look at them almost as often as Lida does. lol
Gucci got standing ovations!  How often does that happen??
It was a pure pleasure to be able to be around a dog like Gucci, and I am
thrilled that I was able to breed one of my girls to him and now have a wonderful daughter from him.
Unless you knew Gucci one on one and were there to witness his work, you just don't understand.

I like the working dog lines as well as show, there are some really great working dogs, Gucci, was one
of them.
