Ace: Well, it doesn't even have to be that! According to the "experts" the why is because, "They can." angry

And all his friends when talking about him kept using the same word..."hubris", according to George Stephanopoulos on GMA today. Hollywood won't care, I think he's already about to make a new movie, too.

Ninja, to think he went ahead to elected office with this secret, and keeping it a secret all these years, just goes to show how untouchable he feels. What if the situation becomes like Tiger Woods', a new "love baby" added every day! surprise

I feel sorry for the kids, this will be awful for them.

Hey we don't know if she ever cheated.

She could have been the worlds biggest b*tch.
We all know people are one way in public and at home they can be totally different.
No I am in no way excusing his actions but I wont sit here and think that she is Mother Theresa either.  I don't know him or her or what was going on in their marriage.

I have noticed that when a man cheats on a woman ...public perception is that he is a dog, rat bastard and every other name in the book and that woman was the best wife on earth who could do no wrong and didn't deserve it or him.

Let a woman cheat on a man and it is always, "he wasn't doing ENOUGH to make and keep her happy."  He made her cheat.  Probably wasn't there for her emotional or physically or whatever.  Excuses come out of the forest.

I bet she made him feel wanted, and gave him attention that his busy wife maybe didn't realize he needed.  Stroked his giant sized ego.

That right there would be at the top of my list for speculations.  We will never know though.
You make it sound like that is a bad thing.

Sounds like the same reason many women give for cheating.
Im just saying....

True, but me thinks men cheat more often.... and to not use protection is just stupid.

They always put on such a good 'show' on Oprah, acted like the perfect couple.  A good actor he is.

WOW ACE! You forgot to tell Red Sable to do your laundry. LMAO

Anyway I do agree that unless you are actually there you have no idea what was going on.

Maria was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

And Arnold is in love with himself.

Arnold's actions wrecked the family, but who really knows what she was like?

Maybe the housekeeper will write a book, make a movie etc.

Ace, he was her boss, he has all the power. I agree though, it is his giant EGO that got the best of him.

Homewrecking is a bad thing, Ace.

It's a bad thing if his ego is sooooo big that Maria couldn't fill it no matter how hard she tried, and  yes, women need to feel needed too.  The problem is our society and how we live.  In the old days man and wife worked together on a farm, neighbours were faar away, and no one got off the farm to notice anyone 'better'laugh they were too busy!

Morals were probably a little stronger also.

Yeah! Now that's what I'ze talkin' 'bout. Hot neighbors sweatin' it out in overalls! I hate to say it, but my experiences lead me to believe that we are ducks. Sure, we want to believe that we are swans, but nature takes its course and you find yourself enjoying the words of a stranger, that your significant other hasn't uttered in years. I can pick up a woman, any age, any time. Married ones are easier. Single girls get hit on all the time. Married women are bored and would like a little spice. The need to feel wanted, hot desireable, etc, etc. My new book comes out in July. I'll be signing in July in NYC, Chicago, LA and Madison, WI. Be sure to stop by.

The house keeper is just as responsible for all of this.  I haven't seen her yet, off to google her right now so I can throw darts at her.

Just read your post Chaz, sad but true!

Beetree...The housekeeper can always quit.  She decided to stay.  I wont go so far to say that Arnold has all the power b/c he was her employer.  Once she got pregnant, she had all the power.  He didn't force her to have sex.  She is justas responsible as Red Sable said.

Women cheat I think just as much as men, they are just better at not getting caught.  Who is to say women use protection more?  Difference is that they can get a abortion where a man doesn't have that option.
I've messed with a married woman or 2 and they all give the same excuse of "he doesn't listen to me, notice me, I don't feel appreciated, I dont feel loved, I feel taken for granted, etc."  They just use that as a excuse when really it isn't.  They try to use it as a excuse to make themselves feel better about what they are doing.

I agree morals ain't what they use to be.  Not even 10 years ago.

Hey a person can't wreck a home that wasn't already wrecked.
