     I have very strong beliefs when it comes to breeding German Shepherds.  I follow the
strict guidelines set forth by the German SV.  Any German Shepherd I use for breeding must
have attained at least a SchH1 or Herding title, along with a passing OFA Hip rating or German
'A' stamp and a breed survey.  These guidelines were set forth to allow only the breeding of
quality animals which will continue to shape future generations of the German Shepherd breed.  
This is to ensure correct structure, solid temperament, good nerves and working drives.   

I compete in both working trials and conformation shows with my dogs.  I handle them myself for working trials and with help from my children for conformation shows.  I believe this allows me to know both the good and bad,
the strengths and weaknesses, about each of my dogs.  It also allows me to make the best
selection of the breeding partner to compliment and improve on characteristics of my females.
 

I do not mass produce puppies at Kennel von der Traum Wolfen.  I believe that one or
maybe two litters per year will allow us to develop these puppies to their fullest potential.  
Top priorities for the puppies include providing them with the best genetics possible, quality
nutrition, proper health, and extensive socialization.  It also allows us to work hands on with all
our dogs in their training.  I strive for the proper placement of each pup into good working
homes.  I am a responsible breeder and at any time will take back any dog that I have  
produced.  My utmost concern is for what is the best for each individual dog.
