Training him for his IPO titles and the Nationals. Strong powerful dog with a great structure.
You can see his videos on YouTube, type in on YouTube: "Hunter Working On The Hold & Bark and Outs (Protection)."

that’s a nice dog
he’s ready to don a muzzle, and the decoy drop every piece of equipment starting with that silly whip and go hands on - and take the dog out of his comfort zone.

But my main focus is IGP and getting to the Nationals and World Championships!!!
Bottom line is this, he has excellent defense drives and prey drives with great nerves.
I can take him to any new environment with new helpers and he is always super confident!
What makes this dog great is really not his defense drives or prey drives it's his nerves.
Without a strong nervous system you really have no dog.

when I see videos here of ‘protection training’, of dogs allowed to prance away from the ‘threat’ with a sleeve in his mouth, probably makes such conjecture even more of an unknown.
the muzzle certainly isn’t the end all-be all of civil training, but CAN be a better indicator of the dogs fighting spirit, without the familiarity/comfort of equipment.
