This happened at the WUSV. Can happen to any dog at anytime. I felt so bad for his handler. Just devastating. Dog did not break but fractured. Surgery was done. Thank god the injury was not devastating.

Very hard to watch. I had to turn away. Also very glad he's OK.

Poor dog. Maybe something else behind the break, a leg should not just snap like that when running.
Pity that no one at the ringside had a dog-sized stretcher to hand for moving a dog having an accident, being carried off by his owner like that could not have been comfortable !

What a nightmare. That has to be the worst feeling in the world and unfortunately I had a similar experience (not involving a helper). One minute you have a healthy, top athlete dog then the next the dog will never be the same. I hope the dog can recover and live a happy life.

These dogs are so good at hiding pain I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was more to this injury than just this event.

Aghhhhhh very sad ...... dogs are such great and faitful animals he went finish the exercise

What a warrior that dog is, and how very unfortunate that happened. Hope the dog makes a recovery to have full function of that leg. I could feel the emotion of the handler, even though I watched it without sound.

I'm still unsure of which leg he injured- front or back?

From the video, I thought it was the back right leg when his rear end skidded and collapsed, but afterwards he seemed to be favouring the front leg?

by Koots on 07 October 2019 - 04:10

Think it's the right front leg.!/brianaghajaniphotog/photos/a.546222022080393/2393228744046369/?type=3&source=48&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6744910814817981623%3Amf_story_key.-3131741303603480960%3Atop_level_post_i

Thanks, Koots! I looked all over, trying to find more info, but wasn't able to.
