Please post prices on puppies/adults for sale! I wish this were required for Classifieds. For those of you that place an ad but no price then go on to say that you want serious inquiries only or more rudely the ad will say "don't waste our time" says a lot about the person placing the ad. We have no idea we are wasting someone's time if we don't know the price! This is so simple, give the price up front, no gimmicks.
Simply send a private message and ask the relevant questions .I'm sure you will get the information you require . It will start the lines of communication and then you can get a read on the person you are dealing with . I don't see the problem if you are giving sufficient information on the animal you are looking at . Price of pup is between me and the client imo.
I think it would be helpful if sellers would put price but there are no rules, at this time, as to what a seller puts in an ad, within reason. I agree also with bladeedge in that if you are really keen on the advertised dog then you message them or phone if number given. I can understand sellers saying no time wasters etc as you do ge them, but asking price is not wasting time. At some point that question has to be asked so not wasting time, just my opinion.
Definitely not a waist of time to ask price as I said it also opens up a line of communication . And for me that is where it all starts building a trusted relationship . It takes longer to come and post a complaint here that it would to send a private message too the advertiser to ask the questions you want 😉 but hay if I was serious about a pup or and adult dog that is what I would do
It seems like if a seller was serious they would post the price. Otherwise buyers have to contact the seller to get basic information that should be included in the ad. Perhaps there is a reason not to post the price?
All good information and input...thanks for the input. I am very serious about buying a stud dog but hate wondering if they are $10,000 or $25,000 so guess I will just send the message and see if they are rude about giving prices, that will be a starting point on getting to know the seller. Thanks and Happy 2019!
Gsdgerman very reasonable if you don't get treated with respect well go with your instincts . Best if luck with
I think this opens the lines for a discussion on what some include and don't in an Ad...
I think information that is needed is a Name of the Dog (if registered)...Pedigree...DOB...Showline...Working line...etc...
I personally usually include the price of a puppy but I believe a Young Adult or Adult that the deal is between someone interested and the seller...
I also feel that if I put an Ad out there then I want people to contact me who might be interested...I will NEVER put in No Time Wasters...That really puts me off because to me it's saying that if you won't buy the dog then don't contact me...
