This is a long shot but I figured I would start here in the forum to see if anyone knew anyone specifically.
To my knowledge I am the ONLY breeder who breeds Danes specifically to do bite work.
I’ve got a bitch from my first generation breeding who will be ready to breed this coming year (will be two next week).
I have many offers from show studs as she is an Int Ch but I also am training her to hopefully compete in mondioring eventually.
I have never seen a show stud that could do what the Great Dane was originally bred to do. And that was to hunt hogs and guard property.
I know they’re out there I just cannot find them.
I’m looking for someone who breeds or owns a stud that performs bite work or hog dog work. Must be something in that realm. ACTUAL WORK. Not sitting on command in a ring or jumping over some hurdles and running through a tunnel.
My girl will have her CHIC number by the end of January. Just needs to get her hips and elbows done already done everything else.
If anyone knows anything please let me know, I have to start somewhere.
I know they’re far and few between but I’m hoping to find one :)

I don't know how helpful this will be, but there was a Great Dane that competed in the DDR Meisterschaft in 1988 and 1989. His name was Bortos vom Steinpölwald DDR12335 with scores of
1988 SG6 100/86.5/93.5=280
1989 SG2 97/92/96.5=285.5
Perhaps if you track down some progeny you might find what you are looking for.
I found him listed with a picture, but unfortunately no progeny information.
I found his pedigree on
and am slowly adding it to PDB
