Germans in akc shows - Page 1

I was wondering if there were any akc show champions in the akc rings? Any workingline champs in particular? Would like to see both types.

You might want to reword your question. You ask if there are any AKC Show Champions in the AKC rings, and the obvious answer is yes. There are also German Showlines that are AKC Champions and there are a FEW German working line dogs that are also AKC Champions. It was a long time ago, but East German (DDR) import Neumann's Jim was also an AKC show champion. Google his name, Kappo vom Eisenwerk, and you will find many photos. He has a very very nice son named Forte. He is owned by Ken and Kathy Tank at Victory shepherds in California.

I saw Jim several times. He was handled and promoted by Don Kille, who was pretty much "anti Lance" or at least looking for an alternative to what the ASL has become.

I looked back at Jim's pedigree posted here and very nice straight backs at that time.

just not the characteristics/connections needed to make a dent in the ASL world.

Here's another Jim that got an American championship. The fact he was owned by a well-known AKC judge probably didn't hurt, though!
