I'm not on the database all that often, but I've been noticing something. On my laptop when I open up the database, it continually asks: "What do you want to do with tag?" And then below it it says "From:s.thebrighttag.com" and then over to the right it asks me to open or save or cancel it. When on my phone I opened up the database and a new screen popped up saying I won something (Seems like maybe a virus type thing?). I've noticed similar back in the past on the Database; Never having issue on any other page I've been on, except for the pedigree database. Anyone know what's up?

My guess is that your security is not working very well.  I have no problem on any of my devices so do not think it a site problem

If you are using Internet Explorer this is appearing on various sites but not on Firefox or Chrome. It has to do with ads so you need an Ad block for that does not effect the PDB ads. It is not a issue with the PDB site as all sites are affected not just this one.

I have experienced this as well, exactly as the OP states, even when using a VPN service. This does not happen on any other site, it is related to this one only, and is VERY annoying. On my phone it is Android, on my laptop it is IE, both using a VPN.

Koots, Have you tried using Firefox to see if it happens after you download an ad block? I do not have this problem when I use Firefox on my Android phone, Laptop or Desktop. Using IE it appears using Yahoo but not Google. Now Norton 360 starts blocking false ads but for some reason is not blocking "Froms.thebrighttag.com" I used my computer to block another one that kept popping up on Yahoo.

I downloaded Firefox specifically to see if it would help with the issues I was having with this site, and THIS site alone.

Did not work.

The only thing that did work was downloading Google Chrome and installing AdBlock.

Haven't had a problem with it since.

I do not have any issues with Iphones or desktop. I have even tried turning my ad blocker off and no problems. I am running malwarebytes premium on my desktop and it gives no warnings of any kind of problem as far as security goes. BTW, I strongly recommend malwarebytes premium to anyone using the web. Just sayin'. If we made this site ad free - how would you all suggest we pay for it? Seriously, we are 100% open to all ideas and suggestions. Would people be willing to pay 10.00 a year membership? Should we charge a small amount for each classified? Ad blockers are hurting sites, including this one. That is why you see some/ a lot of sites asking you to turn off ad blockers to view their content, Oli in my opinion is very hesitant to do this but realizes he needs to make changes. So, lets hear it.

The problem for me has always been the video ad that runs in the top left corner. It's the one screwing things up. Do something about it, and I might be willing to turn off AdBlock.

I can still see the dog ads even with the AdBlock, and I know he gets money from those, at least the premium ones.

BTW, I had a computer programmer friend look at the site, without me even asking him to do so, and he said he can tell it was done by someone who is not professionally trained, and that's probably why there was a problem with it.

So, just a suggestion - if Oli could get someone who IS a trained professional to look at the site, they might be able to fix any bugs. And, believe me there ARE bugs! This is the only site where I've ever had a problem with the ads, AND it's the reason I installed AdBlock!

I would particularly like it if the paragraphs on my carefully composed posts didn't vanish the moment I enable the post editor. That particular bug is definitly a PITA!

Hey SS just click enable first then no disapearing act.

Sunsilver, I am on the PDB right now using Internet Explorer not using any AdBlock there are no problems with the PDB site. You can set up AdBlock to accept ads on PDB the issue is not on the PDB.

Yahoo not the case problems there with From:s.thebrighttag.com loading and showing up.
