Any thoughts on a pup from this Haus Ming breeding: I was told by breeder to expect high drives in prey/fight/ and defense , and hardness/dominance. Whether  it is for PR or not Ma has nick named the dam Queen   " Queenibal Lecter ". I am guessing he is referring to the central character in the  by gone movie " Silence of the Lambs " . Guess his way of saying she is very " serious ass ".

Breeder initially wanted to breed his female to Gildo but when my father saw the female he told him that Olko would be an even better fit. That was the D Fegelhof litter. Olko was an even harder dog than Gildo. He was handled by my mother and not an easy dog. The O litter in itself was a very successful litter. Betzi was a very late maturing female. She didn't even do any bitework until she was about 15 months old but once she kicked in she was one of the hardest females, next to Fricka, we've ever had. Overall, the dogs were rather handler hard on the field. Super in the house, always an off switch. At times Gildo and Olko co-existed with two younger males in the house (Satan and Garfield).

I've watched a recent litter, and the mother was linebred on Karn and Betzi, mature late. A few people didn't have the patience and sold their dogs without giving them a chance because they weren't "mean/civil" enough. Anyhow, now with over a year old you can see these dogs kick in and it is beautiful. Some of them are extremely handler hard dogs.

VK would you explain to me what your comment means and what are you asking and why do you think it relevant to the topic.

Western Rider, one of the females listed above was whelped/raised in Australia perhaps? Thinking

To my knowledge Queen vom Nordenstamm was bred by Horst Kracht who still resides in Delmenhorst Germany.

If someone in Australia uses this kennel name than they need to change it, because this one is already in use with the SV/FCI and it has been for a very long time.

There's a Doberman/GSD/Malinois kennel on Australia's Gold Coast that's called Kennel Vom Norden Stamm. I imagine that's where vk4gsd thought the bitch mentioned came from...but I think they're just breeding Malinois now

Yes that kennel, Jen's owner is German, long time judge. Older now but curios if this bitch from that kennel.

They mostly mal these days. Bred a lot if excellent gsd in the day.

Hope that clears it up.

vk4gsd, alas, the bitch being referenced was not bred by the Gold Coast kennel...her breeder is Horst Kracht of the German Zwinger vom Nordenstamm.

Looks like they washed their hands of the German shepherd, shame guy has bred, titled, judged and trained more than most if not all on this forum.

He bred dobes way back but ditched them when dobe world went south, hope this is not a bad omen for gsd's.

Jen's is a true international.
