This video is a load of shite this pair haven't a clue . With that said protection training hat to get physical but as the last poster said you need to be able to read the dog . Pressure cant just come from a staring match but definitely not like that . This is one time I would love to see handler aggression

Decades ago a lot of people didn´t have a clue about dog training, when I started it was "learning by doing" - not more, not less. No seminars, no internet, no videos...folks used to train locally, whatever the training director told, had to be done...

Dog psychology? Not at all
Reading dogs? No chance

Not only the "sport" folks developed over the decades, but the "real" folks, too.

The video has nothing to do with effective "defense training" - it´s simply old fashioned shit.

That isn't dog training....not now or 40 years ago. That is people watching videos and trying to duplicate. Real training has progressive components to reach a goal. I was during bitework in early seventies and we never looked like that...lol.

Pity not all the modern day training skills are being copied instead.  I guess stupid thugs will select and interpret the video instructions that appeal most to them.

We didn't!...lol, dogs were different, training was different, as nobody used terminology like working in prey, building drive, constant whip cracking, etc......but we evaluated dogs, read them, built them up from distance, worked more from defense perspective, used experienced decoys that understood dog thresholds and always worked to threshold, but did not push dog beyond capability, so we could read dog to assure he not only won, but begin to develop mindset he could defeat man thru confidence. No this isn't dog training to me....not now or wouldn't have been then.

 

This idiots realy don,t know what they are doing, the funny thing is they working with a sleeve that dog is already man focused,... they didn,t see/realise this and realy don,t know how to work with this dog.

Clearly these guys are less than BY trainers. Why just continue to lambaste them.

We point out their errors so people like you can learn good training from bad training.

Mithuna u lambaste everyone on this site for having soft dogs show line and opinions that don't agree with yours and when these to gobshites do this to a dog and u want people to lay off them . Shows me exactly where u are and what we are dealing with
