Working line puppies don't do well because they're not extreme like dogs bred specifically for show.
I'm not sure, but I think USCA shows are more for working dogs.
The most important thing is to have fun with your puppy. I'll be taking my puppy to a USCA show in September, and he's a sable. I'll let you know how it goes.

A WL sable is a different story, but the color itself? Easier to show than a black or a bi color

It is what it is.

understand the American system but a lot of people
on here seem to refer to them. The dogs I believe
tend more towards 'German' style that AKC / USA
Standard type, with the advantage that 'working' lines
are also not so foreign to them. Dunno how you contact
them, ask the Americans ?

The only way to achieve a good rating with a "working line" within SV is to show a WELL PREPARED/TRAINED working line - and most often these dogs are NOT well trained, a lot of them lack in structure according to the standard, and most Americans either don´t know or don´t care how to prepare a dog for a "SV" show.

Susie, I wouldn't wish to comment on what the OP's dog looks like, in the flesh, even from photos on various threds here !
She's already a 'coat', so that's likely to go against her, even
given recent greater acceptance ! (OTOH, the "coaties often
have a better shape than the stock coats" ...)
I get the impression that with SV shows in the States
there are as many loopholes as there are under SV
rules/judges in other countries (than Germany, of course ;-)
Of course LadyBoss is going to have to do some ringcraft
training, but she'd have to do that if she stood a chance in
AKC classes too.
Anyway no one should EXPECT to win / get the best grading
available, when Showing - someone always has to be further
down the line !
As a countryman of mine always used to say: "Winning's
not everything, but it's bloody nice !"

"Coats" are shown in own rings, in that case it´s no disadvantage to own a coat, at least less "opponents"...
