Military dogs, military personnel, nor anything military or war related deserves the term " most elite ".  Many of the most heinous and flagrant crimes are committed by military personnel both in the name of freedom and also against the citizens of occupied nations and their own citizens ( just as in the USA ).  Military personnel commit crimes of violence and domestic abuse at a rate and frequency far exceeding their % of the population.

There is no reason to think being good at what you do makes you good nor does it make what you do good.

Right! Let's paint all military dogs and military personnel with the same paint brush!!! Real class comment!

I usually disagree with bubbabooboo's opinions and I usually do not post my disagreements. In this case, however, I must. I have known many veterans of the U.S. military, men who served all the way back to WWII. Many are the best examples of humanity: selfless, brave, disciplined, willing to give their lives for the life of another. You could call them "elite" or you could say "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends".
I pity bubba that he has apparently never known such men.

Bubs-
"Military dogs, military personnel, nor anything military or war related deserves the term " most elite ".
MWDs fault that some military personnel commit crime? So the dogs are bad too?
Didn't you post an article about MWDs being considered equipment and you seemed upset? So MWDs are bad because they are in the military?
Confused as to why you now have an issue with dogs in the military.
EVERY profession has shitbags.
Would be nice for someone to post something positive and informative without you taking a bitter old man shit on it.
You generalize too much.

The pity belongs to those who delude themselves into thinking that money or proficiency in some activity makes anyone or anything elite. As earlier stated " being good at something does not make the person good or what he is doing good ( or elite ). The fact that the US military is filled with men and women trained to react with violence to solve problems without thought of whether their actions are good or justified is not in question. Evil hides behind orders and training in the military and the police forces. If the dogs in the military are so elite why are they treated like property to be sold or disposed of like a worn shovel as the military decides. On one hand idiots elevate the men, women, and animals trained by our military and police to be called elite. On the other hand the same idiots ignore and dismiss the evil done to and by those men, women, and dogs in following orders and training which the citizens of the USA have allowed to happen. The statistics and numbers on family violence, murder, rape and other crimes indicate that the men and women trained to use violence and death on other nations to promote the interests of the USA more often do the same to their fellow soldiers, kin and US citizens than those not trained to be elite.

bbbb; I have given thought to why you are the way you are. If I could take a walk in your shoes, do you know where i could get industrial size ''odor eaters''?
