If the elbows are RATED by OFA, no, SV will not accept them, like Dog1 said. The SV has zero respect for OFA's elbow certification (can't say I blame them ;) ). They simply don't accept it; doesn't matter if they're normal or severely dysplastic.

However, if your question is does the SV allow breeding of dogs with a rough equivalent of grade 1 DJD as graded by OFA? I'd say yes, to that, assuming the SV style grading would then label those elbows fast normal or noch zugelassen. But without a standardized grading system, it's impossible to make a blanket statement and say they will or will not allow a particular grade.

Thank you Jen! To me, many of these organizations and clubs are conflicting as to what is acceptable and what is not. Personally, I think we should look at the overall picture such as Bubba stated above, "There is no proof that ED and HD are caused by the same genes .. more likely that both ED and HD are caused by environmental factors such as poor exercise regimens, early injuries and poor quality carbohydrate rich diets in combination with some genetic factors." Just my opinion.
