Speaking from experience as a moderator on another site, it can be hard to keep ahead of a determined spammer!

We ban the new name, they sign up another. We are waiting on oli to make an adjustment to new user registrations, until then hopefully they get bored and we don't throw up our arms and give up, lol.

Saw this happen on different forums as well, but never that fast before. I've always seen that when it happens that its some type of site bot like Yahoo(bot), etc.

This is some guy who got some spam posts deleted and figures he is going to make it hard on us for shits and giggles. I don't think it is a bot but it maybe some type of script he is using to post so many so quickly. We are doing everything in our power to stop him and clean it up as fast as we can but we do not have admin here 24/7 and he seems to show up when we aren't here. Go figure.

Well that would be a feat because I have no camera on my desktop. And unless they are very good they aren't in my computer. And if they are that good, they would break into the site and deface it with spam. We aren't here 24/7 so all they need to do is keep trying and eventually they will find times we aren't here, that isn't rocket science. We generally aren't on here as much as some members or some members think we are.
