What if they had their own section?

Still don't care for the idea  how would you be able to decide which combo is going to be allowed now and in the future.  Talk about a lot of band with for any and all designer possible mixes

Would be open to all mixes.

I´m not against a "mixed" section, free for ALL mixes, but it´s difficult, because without proof ( pedigree, better DNA ) people would be able to register everything they want, no matter if it´s true or not. I guess by then a lot of stud dog owners would wonder about puppies "out of their stud", although their stud never even saw the female in question...

Difficult

Excellent points, Susie.

mebbe a separate section under the banner of "unverified" or "unregistered" lots of purebreds are unregistered and lots of good dogs are mixed. Both of which can co tribute to the purebred world. Registries open and close and reopen their books at will as it should be. The purity concept is new and imo not necessarily sustainable.

Some people don't play the paper game.

the purity concept is for people, power and money not to make better dogs.

Is this the "Pedigree Database"? If we list a Dutch Shepherd or a Mali with a pedigree bred to a GSD with a pedigree we get a result with a pedigree history. The same as if both parents were the same breed. The Dutch Shepherd is a pedigreed dog but not a registered dog. The Racing Sled Dog is a pedigree dog, but not a registered dog. We are entering the information, which seems to be the same proof as if we were entering for the same breed or two different breeds. Pedigree's are important for improvement, I am not so sure about regestries.

Without registries, nothing is verifiable.

Power? Money?
Why didn't you go get a mut from the pound instead of the gsd you have? We know he's not registered, that's not important. Why didn't you get a mut?

Excellent points, Susie. The ONLY way I would think to agree to something like this would be that ALL the mixes had to have DNA testing done as well as documents to prove the pedigree. (and still be clearly labled mixed breed dogs)

But still would not agree because I see no point on mixing breeds... I live in a contrie were abandonment is a really serious problem THOUSANDS of mixed breeds are kill EVERY DAY and I bet that half came from people thinking "oh it would be such a cute puppies!" or "it will be a great watch dog"

If you want to breed a new breed there are ways to regist that breed and work with that agenda...  Sory but was a voluntier for some time in some shelters and have seen some revolting things, it's a dificult subject to me... My Mic, is exatly this tipe of thing, hunter that crossed some breeds (Portuguese Podengos, Beagles, Portuguese Predigueiro, Bracos, Pointers, etc) then all the dogs that are not good to hunt he leaves somewhere or kill then... When he left Mic on my street he left Mic, a Podengo mix, 4 others Podengo/Beagle mix, a pointer/perdigueiro mix... Mixing breeds it's defeniltly not cool in my book... sory for the outflow

joanro and whitout verification there is no proof
