Kalibeck

by Kalibeck on 03 May 2015 - 02:05

I have a great deal of respect for both the police & the military. I am not young or naive, however, & I think it a shame that there are some whose behavior tarnishes the rest. I have no doubt that I would not be comfortable having a Rottie charge me, I simply stated that watching him die for his owner was horrific. I have seen many people die, & for some reason it does not affect me the way watching an animal die does. Perhaps this is a flaw in my character, but most humans know why they are dying, & have other humans to support them. That poor dog only did what he thought he should....& no one can explain what happened to him. I do not fault the officer. I just wish I hadn't watched it. And there have been quite a few things I wish I hadn't seen or heard of lately...

but that's for another thread.

Better yet the police and military who uphold their oath of service could follow the law and arrest the bad cops and military personnel.  Cops don't get to decide who is bad or good and dish out justice in an alley .. that seems to be part of the problem.

Blitzen

"Most of the police officers I know are terrific people. Right here we have Gustav, maybe Hired Dog (not sure he's a LEO) and slamdunc who used to be a poster here.  There are probably more I don't know. All officers I would trust with my life and my dog's life. When I worked as a tech we vetted 2 K-9 corps for local departments, a great bunch of guys and gals. It is not right to judge all LEOs by the bad behavior of a few rotten ones. I'm betting that Gustav, Hired Dog, and Slamdunc would love to get the bad ones alone in a dark alley."

Bet Gustav and HD would disagree with that, blitz.

Geezus, do you have to take everything literally. I didn't say they would, I said "I'm betting that Gustav, Hired Dog, and Slamdunc would love to get the bad ones alone in a dark alley." That was me saying it, not them.

Bet Gustav and HD would disagree with that, blitz.

Gustav, HD, can speak fpr themselves. Slam is no longer a poster here, so he can't.

The replies aren't making sense with regard to what they're supposedly replying to...was there something removed or deleted? I don't understand Joan's replies to Blitzen. Was there a chunk of thread deleted for some reason?

by Blitzen on 04 May 2015 - 02:05

Ok Joan, you are right again, now will you please got off my back and let it drop. WTF is WRONG with  you lately?

by Blitzen on 04 May 2015 - 02:05

No, nothing was deleted.

by joanro on 04 May 2015 - 02:05

I was replying belatedly, without reading the original post. So I read the quote of blitzen by bubba. Then when she replied that they can answer for themselves, I said they would not behave badly. That's all, just jabbering back and forth, nothing good on TV .

Kalibeck ~ I like your posts and I understand exactly the point you make and agree.
Btw~ Most cops are good and all are only human. It's not a job I could do and I am glad that some brave souls choose to do it ! :)))  Far be it from me to disrespect the whole for the faults of a few. Also, it is easy to say from the sidelines how one should react in a given situation. Being there and living it out is an entire different story ~  smh
